16-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder and Multiple Felonies in Chicago

A 16-year-old male has been charged with multiple felonies, including an attempt at first-degree murder, following his arrest by the Citywide Robbery Task Force, the Chicago Police Department reported. The juvenile, whose name is withheld due to his age, also faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, armed robbery, and theft. A detention hearing is scheduled to be held at the 2600 S. California court on November 27, 2025.

According to details disclosed by the CPD, the arrest took place on November 26 in the 3800 block of W. Polk St., and the teen was identified as the individual responsible for shooting an 18-year-old male on November 3 in the 5600 block of W. Madison St.; this shooting left the victim injured, circumstances surrounding the event that have not yet been disclosed but undoubtedly left a mark on the community.
