CHICAGO (WGN) — Despite a weekend of closed-door briefings, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and City Council kicked off the week miles apart on a budget deal.
“We continue to be open to negotiations and compromise,” Johnson said. “We will not sacrifice the poor and working people of Chicago to balance this budget.”
