CHICAGO — A judge denied pretrial release for a Chicago man accused of shooting a CPD officer responding to a home invasion on the city’s Far South Side early Sunday morning.
Authorities credit a bulletproof vest the officer was wearing with saving his life when he was hit in the left side of his chest.
