Teen arrested in Burger King stabbing, also in 16th District, dozen vehicles stolen, burglar suspect arrested

A 17-year-old suspect is in custody after he reportedly stabbed a worker three times at about 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Burger King, 6400 W. Irving Park Road, according to Chicago police.

The suspect reportedly was upset about a Sponge Bob meal he had received from the restaurant a couple days earlier and returned on Friday to talk to an employee, according to police. The situation reportedly escalated, and a male worker was stabbed once in the chest area and twice in the back, police said.

The suspect left the restaurant, but officers were able to locate him a short time later, and he was arrested, police said…
