Pre-Dawn Gunfire On 95th Street Leaves Roseland Teen Shot In Foot

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the foot early Sunday in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood, turning a quiet pre-dawn walk into yet another crime scene on 95th Street.

Police say that around 3:50 a.m., the teen was walking east in the 100 block of West 95th Street when he suddenly felt numbness in his foot and realized he had been hit by gunfire. He was taken to OSF Little Company of Mary Medical Center in neighboring Evergreen Park, where he was reported to be in good condition.

According to CBS Chicago, information about the shooter or shooters was not available as of Sunday morning, and no one was in custody. Calumet Area detectives are handling the case, and authorities had not released further details.
