A 25-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the West Loop late Sunday night, according to Chicago police.
At about 10:38 p.m., officers responding to a report of a person shot in the 200 block of North Peoria Street found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound below his right knee. He ran to a nearby restaurant and bar for help, where one of the managers provided first aid until police arrived and took over, according to a witness.
