A 20-year-old man accused of a string of robberies aboard CTA trains and a smash-and-grab holdup of a Rogers Park smoke shop has pleaded guilty in three of the cases and received a 12-year prison sentence, court records show.
Prosecutors said Kenyon Guillory admitted responsibility for two CTA train robberies and the store robbery as part of a plea agreement that left the third CTA robbery case unresolved.
All of the crimes occurred earlier this year, with authorities accusing Guillory of joining at least six other men in a takeover-style robbery at Galaxy Smoke Shop, 1349 West Morse Avenue, on April 6.
