Robbins Knife Fight Leaves Man Stabbed, Chicago Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder

A Friday night fight in Robbins ended with one man in the hospital and another facing an attempted murder charge, after Cook County Sheriff’s Police say a pocketknife turned a street scuffle into a stabbing.

According to sheriff’s detectives, a 30-year-old Chicago man allegedly stabbed a 35-year-old man multiple times during a fight Friday evening. The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital with what officials described as non-life-threatening wounds. Investigators say the suspect was also treated at a local hospital for a cut to his hand. After prosecutors signed off on felony charges, the defendant was ordered into custody following a court appearance.

Detectives identified the suspect as 30-year-old Brian Davis and say the confrontation unfolded at about 6:40 p.m. near the 13000 block of Grace Avenue in Robbins. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved felony counts of attempted murder and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm on Sunday, and Davis appeared Monday at the Markham courthouse.
