CPD searching for driver who fled deadly Far South Side crash that killed mother of three

CHICAGO (WGN) — Police are searching for the driver who fled after a crash killed a woman on Chicago’s Far South Side early New Year’s Day.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 38-year-old Suzanna Garcia.

Chicago police say the crash happened just before 5 a.m. Thursday in the 3400 block of East 95th Street near the start of the 95th Street Bridge over the Calumet River. At least 10 people called 911, with the first call coming in around 5 a.m…
