Douglas Boulevard Morning Gunfire Leaves West Side Man Clinging To Life

A Friday morning argument on Chicago’s West Side turned into a life-or-death emergency when a 24-year-old man was shot multiple times in the abdomen shortly after 9 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Douglas Boulevard, according to Chicago police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Police say the gunman took off in a silver vehicle headed east on Douglas Boulevard. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing under Area Four detectives.
