25-year-old teamed up with 3 juveniles to rob victim at gunpoint on North Side, CPD says

A 25-year-old man teamed up with three juveniles to rob a victim at gunpoint on the North Side on Monday night, authorities said.

The Chicago Police Department said Javonni Clark of Zanesville, Ohio, is charged in connection with the robbery and is scheduled for a detention hearing Thursday afternoon. Three boys, ages 15, 16, and 17, were charged earlier this week with committing the same robbery as well as a second attempted robbery a short time later in Lincoln Square.

At about 10 p.m., three armed robbers jumped out of an SUV and robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 6600 block of North Maplewood Avenue, according to a police report. All three displayed guns as they took the victim’s wallet before driving away.

Just under an hour later, three masked, armed suspects tried but failed to rob a 42-year-old man in the 2200 block of West Winona Street, police said. Once again, the suspects were seen escaping in an SUV…
