Former Chicago medical center manager indicted for $900K in wire fraud

CHICAGO (WGN) — A Carol Stream man is charged in connection with an alleged $900,000 fraud scheme.

Federal prosecutors accuse 42-year-old Brandon Getzloff, a former operations manager for a suburban Chicago medical center, of fraudulently obtaining more than $700,000 from the medical center and more than $200,000 from the sports outing participants. He faces eight counts of wire fraud.

It is alleged that from 2021 to 2024, Getzloff used medical center credit cards to purchase gift cards for himself and pay his personal bills, according to an indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court in Chicago.
