Chicago Catholic school that ‘moved an expressway’ to close at end of year

The Catholic school that forced a change in the 1950s design of a popular Chicago expressway will close at the end of the academic year, the school announced.

The historic St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy, located at1255 North Noble Street in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, will close for good at the end of the school year after over a century and a half, church leaders said in an email sent to parents and staff last week.
