14-year-old bullying victim allegedly attacked with a mugful of corrosive acid near her home

CHICAGO (TCN) — A middle school girl who had reportedly been bullied for six months was allegedly attacked with corrosive acid at her apartment complex.

WFLD reported Jan. 19 that the victim’s mother, Aspen Clark, said her daughter, who has not been named, has been bullied for the past several months at school. She told the outlet she tried to speak to school staff multiple times and wanted meet with the parents of her daughters’ bullies, but no action was taken. She claimed she taught her daughter to fight back only in self-defense when confronted with violence.

The attack began as a fistfight at the apartment complex where Clark and her daughter live, WFLD reports. In a video of the attack that reportedly circulated on social media, the victim was allegedly seen being slammed to the ground with force applied to her neck. Then, an alleged assailant splashed a mugful of corrosive acid on her, causing second- and third-degree burns…
