The Detroit Auto Show was another snooze fest as we didn’t get much besides the Bronco RTR, Mustang Dark Horse SC, and North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year Awards. Ram also staged the public debut of the 2027 1500 SRT TRX and 2500 Power Wagon, but both models were shown to the media in December and officially introduced on New Year’s Day.
That’s hardly a great start to the auto show calendar and things aren’t looking up anytime soon. In particular, the Chicago Auto Show returns on February 6 and its most exciting media event appears to be the U.S. Army MRE Snack Break at 1 pm.
As of this writing, there are no press conferences of note. While there are “new vehicle” walkarounds from Kia, Stellantis, and Toyota, that doesn’t mean these companies will actually introduce new models at the show…
