Chicago police are investigating two armed robberies reported late Sunday night and early Monday in and near the West Loop.
The first robbery was reported around 9:55 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of West Lake Street. Officers responded to a call of a robbery with a firearm and spoke with a 22-year-old man who said he was standing on a sidewalk when six offenders arrived in two vehicles.
According to police, one of the robbers displayed a pistol and demanded the victim’s property, including his phone. Another offender punched the victim in the face with a closed fist. The man declined medical attention at the scene, CPD said…
