West Loop restaurant violated labor laws, failed to pay staff: state

The Illinois Department of Labor has filed a civil complaint accusing a now-shuttered West Loop restaurant and its management of failing to pay workers wages, including tips, and of violating state minimum wage and overtime laws.

The lawsuit names That’s Gino and Marty’s, LLC, its management company, White Glove Service and Management, LLC, and several individual owners and managers.

Gino & Marty’s, dubbed a “narrative-driven Chicago Italian restaurant with a modern luxury twist,” at 844 West Randolph Street, was once the place to see and be seen by those who enjoy $29 plates of spaghetti…
