Two people were shot Saturday afternoon when a gun went off during a fight aboard a CTA bus on the West Side, according to police. The shooting happened at 3:19 p.m. on an eastbound #66 bus in the 4000 block of West Chicago Avenue.
According to CPD, it all started as an argument between a man and a group of CTA bus passengers on an eastbound bus in the 4000 block of West Chicago Avenue. The argument turned physical, and a firearm went off during the fight, striking two people who were involved in the physical altercation, police said.
A 15-year-old boy sustained gunshot wounds to the groin area and buttocks and was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was initially listed in fair condition, according to police.
