Police: Driver hits two pedestrians, stabs third in north suburban attack

GURNEE, Ill. (WGN) — A woman is in custody after police say she drove into two people and stabbed a third in the north suburbs Monday morning.

According to the Gurnee Police Department, officers were called to the 600 block of Grand Avenue just after 10 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Investigators say the woman drove through a parking lot aisle and hit a 79-year-old man who was standing next to his vehicle. She then struck a 60-year-old woman nearby…
