Maywood and Bellwood Men Arrested with Firearms

On February 13th, officers from the Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lily Cache Lane and Canterbury Lane for an observed traffic violation. During the stop, Tobias Watkins (18) of Maywood fled on foot. Watkins was taken into custody by patrol officers after a short chase and was found to be in possession of a loaded, illegal firearm. A second loaded, illegal firearm was located in the stopped vehicle and Kemarri Herring Reynolds (19) of Bellwood was taken into custody.

Chief Rompa commends the daily efforts of our Problem Oriented Policing and Patrol Units to keep Bolingbrook safe. Together these units have successfully taken two more illegal firearms off of Bolingbrook’s streets before they could be used to harm our residents.
