Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois – A 28-year-old man was found shot to death inside his car in a Chicago suburb after what authorities say began as a meetup arranged through a dating app.
Police identified the victim as Obaidulla Shareef, whose body was discovered on Feb. 4 in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked near an office building in Oakbrook Terrace. Authorities said he had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Inside the car, investigators reportedly found a hotel receipt connected to a nearby property. The receipt included the name of a woman from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to court documents cited by local media.
