CHICAGO —A Chicago dance crew known for its Bud Billiken Parade performances is mourning the loss of two of its members after a fatal crash Thursday morning left two people dead and three others injured.
Illinois State Police responded to a report of a rollover car crash 1:15 a.m. Thursday on northbound lanes of the Bishop Ford Freeway at 111th Street, state police said. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and three people were taken to a local hospital with injuries, police said.
Dwayne Moore, co-CEO of Empiire Dance Company, identified the two people who died in the crash as longtime members Lazarus “Hollywood” Gonzalez, 25, and Isaiah “Bo” Flemister, 17. The three others injured were also dance company members, Moore said…
