Police evacuate Walmart for bomb threat

Police were dispatched to Walmart late on Feb. 22 after a woman called police and said she got a call from an unknown man who told her he put a bomb in the Forest Park Walmart before hanging up. Police evacuated the store around 10:30 p.m., contacted the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department and requested the K-9 team sweep the store. Police found nothing in the store and were unable to reach the caller. 

Fights and disturbances

Around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, police were dispatched to the Roos Recreation Center for a fight. When police arrived, a large crowd of young people outside dispersed. Witnesses said two young men exchanged a few punches before another separated them. No one was charged…
