Suburban Chicago day care workers charged with attacking 7 children

DES PLAINES, Ill. (WGN) — Two day care workers are accused of attacking several children in a Chicago suburb, officials announced Tuesday.

The battery incidents allegedly occurred at A Mother’s Touch Daycare in northwest suburban Des Plaines between the dates of Nov. 3 and Nov. 19 of last year. It was on Nov. 20 that higher-ups with the day care became aware of an incident involving a child allegedly being sprayed in the face with water. A subsequent investigation resulted in the review of surveillance footage and the suspension of both workers.

Authorities say that, upon their internal investigation, additional video footage allegedly revealed both workers attacking the children.

All told, seven male children, aged 4 to 5, were allegedly attacked. As a result, two women face multiple counts of battery.
