DUI driver offered cop $400 bribe, expected to ‘test positive for being a man’: report

Chicago police say an intoxicated man fell asleep behind the wheel of a running SUV in Pilsen, then tried to hand an officer $400 in cash to avoid a DUI arrest, saying he “gotta get the f*** up outta here.”

Andre Henderson, 40, is charged with bribery, DUI, and driving on a revoked license after officers found him slumped over in a black Cadillac Escalade early Saturday, February 21, according to a CPD report.

It was 12:54 a.m. when officers on patrol in the 1700 block of South Damen Avenue spotted the Escalade parked with its headlights on but no license plates displayed. As they got closer, they saw the driver “slumped behind the wheel with the vehicle on and the engine running,” the report stated…
