A Cicero man accused of storing more than 166 pounds of methamphetamine in garbage bags inside his garage has been sentenced to six years in state prison after pleading guilty to drug delivery charges.
William Lebron, 42, entered his guilty plea to delivery of methamphetamine in exchange for the sentence handed down by Judge Geary Kull, according to court records.
Homeland Security Investigations agents and task force officers working on a long-term narcotics case were surveilling Lebron in September 2023 when they watched him pull up to the garage behind his Cicero home. According to a prosecutor’s report, agents moved in and detained Lebron after he removed a large black garbage bag from the Toyota’s trunk and began walking back toward his car.
As investigators closed in, Lebron dropped the trash bag, exposing what prosecutors described as “multiple clear, gallon sized bags all containing Methamphetamine.” He was also accused of carrying a loaded 9-millimeter handgun holstered in his front waistband at the time of his arrest.
