A 45-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night on Chicago’s Southwest Side, gunned down while standing outside in the 3900 block of West 62nd Street. Police say he was hit once in the head and later died at a hospital, while the shooter remains on the run and may have been traveling in a black vehicle.
According to Chicago police, the gunfire broke out just after 8:30 p.m. The victim was taken to Christ Hospital, where he later died. Authorities have not released his name, no arrests have been made, and detectives say the investigation remains active, as reported by FOX 32 Chicago.

Detectives are canvassing the 3900 block of West 62nd Street and collecting evidence as they work to identify the shooter. Officers are looking for witnesses and asking nearby residents and businesses to check any security cameras that might have captured the incident or a suspect vehicle.
