A security guard working at a River North nightclub died early Monday after a man pushed him down a flight of stairs while he was trying to break up a fight, officials said. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
CPD said the incident occurred around 1:18 a.m. inside a business in the 100 block of West Hubbard Street. According to police, a 32-year-old man was involved in an altercation with a group of people when the 35-year-old victim intervened.
