Man, 24, shot and killed in apartment building in Englewood late Monday night, Chicago police say

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in an apartment building late Monday night on the city’s South Side, according to Chicago police.

Police say officers responding to a service call around 11:45 p.m. in the 800 block of West 66th Street, in the Englewood neighborhood, found the man unresponsive after being shot in the face and stomach.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say a weapon was also recovered.
