Man charged after allegedly shooting CPD officer, woman on Far South Side

CHICAGO — A man was charged after allegedly shooting a Chicago police officer and a woman in Pullman and West Roseland, minutes apart, Saturday night.

According to police, a sergeant, assigned to the 5th District, was driving a patrol car in the 11200 block of South Corliss Avenue at around 11:11 p.m. when she was shot in the leg.

The sergeant took herself to an area hospital and was listed in good condition…
