A man attempted to lure a young girl with candy in Lincoln Park on Saturday morning before a bystander stepped in and the suspect fled, according to a Chicago police alert.
The incident happened around 9:47 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Clark Street. According to CPD, the man approached the girl and tried to get her to buy or accept candy until a witness intervened, and the man left the area.
The alert described him as 40 to 49 years old, of unknown race, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing around 150 pounds. He was wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses, a buttoned-down blue-checkered shirt, tan shorts, and black gym shoes with white soles…
