Around 2:00 a.m. on March 23, the Villa Park Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Ultimate Cigar Lounge, 109 E. North Ave. Firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the roofline and quickly upgraded the call to a structure fire. Crews entered the building and extinguished a blaze that started in a trash can near the restrooms.
Damage was limited to that area and the roof above, but smoke and water damage forced the business to close temporarily. No one was inside at the time, and no injuries were reported. A neighboring business in the same building was not affected…
