2 killed in overnight shooting on South Side

CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Wednesday morning after two men were shot and killed on the South Side overnight.

Chicago police said the deadly shooting unfolded just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 7800 block of South Calumet Avenue, in Greater Grand Crossing.

According to police, the two victims, a 37-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, were outside in the area when they were approached by a group of five unknown male offenders…
