CHICAGO (WGN) – Two suspected gang members were arrested earlier this week after federal law enforcement officers found multiple guns and other items at their Southwest Side home.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois said 19-year-old Julian Torres and 29-year-old Brandon Osorio were arrested Monday, March 23 and charged with possession of a machine gun.

On that day, authorities executed a search warrant and Torres and Osorio’s home in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood and found a short-barrel rifle and 10 handguns, one of which was equipped with an extended magazine, according to officials.
Authorities said 20 machine gun conversion devices were also found. The conversion devices allow normal guns to operate like machine guns, firing multiple rounds with a single pull of the trigger. Assorted ammunition and other gun accessories were also taken…
