CHICAGO — Details of the rescheduled funeral service for fallen firefighter Michael Altman have been announced, including how neighbors can pay their respects during the private ceremony.
Altman’s funeral was originally scheduled for Friday, but it was postponed the day prior after his wife, Nora, went into labor. Now, a private funeral service will be held starting 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home and Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, the Chicago Fire Department announced Sunday.
The service is invitation only, but supporters are encouraged to line the route from the funeral home to the cemetery.
