The Largest Pinball Arcade In The Midwest Is Now Open In Illinois— Featuring Over 110 Machines From The Last 80 Years

The Pinball Capital, the largest pinball arcade in the Midwest, is celebrating its grand opening today in Stone Park, Illinois.

This date also marks the 50th anniversary of Roger Sharpe’s appearance before a New York City hearing, where he demonstrated to the Manhattan City Council that pinball is a game of skill rather than chance.

The grand opening will feature a screening of “Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game” and will be attended by Sharpe himself, according to The Pinball Capital.

The Midwest’s most extensive pinball collection just opened

This new venue covers 8,100 square feet and features all 30 of Stern Pinball’s Insider Connected tables, along with more than 80 other machines from various eras of pinball. The collection is extensive, spanning more than six decades, and includes games from a 1947 Gottlieb Humpty Dumpty to 2025 releases, such as Harry Potter, King Kong: Myth of Terror Island, Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, JAWS, and Cactus Canyon…
