A 16-year-old boy was shot while walking in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood early Saturday morning, according to police. Officers said the teen was hit in the leg in the 6400 block of South King Drive just after 4 a.m. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
Chicago police told CBS Chicago that the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately release information about a possible suspect or motive, the outlet reported.
