LEE COUNTY, Ill (WTVO) — A man was arrested after Lee County Deputies were made aware of a financial scam reported on Sunday, April 26, in the Village of Paw Paw.
According to officials, deputies learned that a victim had been contacted by someone claiming their Apple account had been hacked. The victim said they were transferred to a person claiming to be an FBI agent, who told them they would need to pay money to catch the hacker.
