In an update to a WGN report we brought you over the summer, the Chicago Public Schools employee who was suspended after a party he threw turned deadly, recently returned to work.
In August, Jamal Williams, who’s also known as popular TikToker and Party Promoter “JRoy,” threw a party in a vacant lot near North LaCrosse and West End. The neighborhood’s Alderman, Jason Ervin, said police contacted Williams and advised him not to throw it due to threats of violence. But Williams threw the party anyway. The end result was chaotic.
Police scanners said up to a thousand people showed up and suggested the party may have been linked to three separate shootings. One in the 200 block of North Lamon, another in the 5000 block of West Maypole where one person was killed, and a third, mass shooting in the 100 block of North La Crosse, where six people were hit…
