A man was shot inside Somerset Bar in Over-the-Rhine shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday and was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to Cincinnati police. Officers detained a person of interest near the bar and said early evidence points to a targeted attack, as detectives moved quickly to interview witnesses and process the scene.
WLWT reports that the shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. inside Somerset Bar. The station says the adult victim was transported to UC Medical Center, and that his condition was not immediately known.
What Police Said
In a statement to WLWT, Cincinnati police said early findings “indicate the shooting appears to have been a targeted act” against the victim. Officers told the station a person of interest was taken into custody shortly after the incident, and that detectives were continuing to process the scene and gather witness statements.
