The Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority announced on June 12 the launch of ParkWhiz, a digital parking reservation platform that allows customers to reserve spaces in advance at the Midtown Garage and River Center Garage.
The service is now available through the ParkWhiz mobile app or online at covpark.com and parkwhiz.com. The new feature aims to improve the parking experience for both residents and visitors by letting users secure their spot before arrival and receive turn-by-turn directions directly to garage entrances using connected wayfinding apps.
CMVPA officials said they see this program as a way to help drivers navigate ongoing traffic challenges associated with the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project while making better use of existing parking resources in Covington. Both garages regularly have hundreds of available spaces, even during busy weekend evenings.
