Kia recalls nearly half a million vehicles for fire risk, warns drivers to park outside

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Kia issued a recall for nearly half a million vehicles because they may light on fire while parked or driving, and the company urged customers to park the cars outside.

According to a recall report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Kia issued the recall because the “front power seat motor may overheat due to a stuck power seat slide knob or an improper” repair from a prior recall, “which can result in a fire while parked or driving.”
