Community leader calls to cease violence after teen dies in East Price Hill shooting

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The family of a 14-year-old boy who was shot Tuesday in East Price Hill said he died, as Cincinnati police continue to investigate.

A memorial for Rakeem Blair Jr. continues to grow at the home in East Price Hill in which the shooting took place, and a community leader said the violence has gone on far too long.

“It’s normal in Price Hill to hear gunshots. It’s normal to see someone laid out in the street. It’s normal to see someone doing something that’s unacceptable somewhere else. It shouldn’t be the norm,” Amber Kassem, president of East Price Hill Improvement Association, said…
