CINCINNATI (WXIX) – August ends on a hot and humid note, but the worst of the heat is still ahead. Sunshine will dominate Monday with increasingly sultry conditions across the Tri-State before dangerous heat builds for the first few days of September.
Tuesday and Wednesday look like the hottest days of the week. Temperatures will climb well into the 90s while high humidity pushes the heat index into the 100 to 105 degree range, possibly higher in a few spots. Anyone working, practicing or spending extended time outside should plan for frequent breaks, plenty of water and time in air conditioning.
