CINCINNATI (WXIX) – We hit a new sweaty milestone today. The high temperatures was 96 degrees at CVG for the first time in 2026. It was not, however, a record high temperature for September 3rd. We could set record warm morning low tomorrow if we don’t dip below 76. The heat wave continues!
Friday will be dangerously hot again in the low to mid 90s with triple digit heat indices. There are spotty strong storm chances throughout the day, but none of the storms will be widespread. They still could be strong, however, so watch for gusty winds and brief heavy downpours if you get caught in a storm.
Friday night activities and football will be very warm and humid with very few storm concerns. Storm chances increase Saturday morning, and we have the greatest chance of seeing storms through Saturday late afternoon. You don’t have to cancel your Saturday outdoor plans, but stay weather aware as storms will pop up and could be strong…
