In Norwood, Ohio, a 44-year-old woman named Lisa Nacrelli has been accused of impersonating a child protective services agent and attempting to lure a 4-year-old boy away from his home, all in an apparent effort to frighten parents she did not know.
According to court records, Nacrelli’s actions were captured on security camera footage as she made the attempt to coax the child away from his residence last Saturday. The child’s father recounted that she touched the child in a manner that made him uncomfortable, prompting the boy to raise his hands and insist on speaking with his mother, in accordance with the “stranger danger” lessons he had learned.
Upon the mother’s arrival outside, Nacrelli, later identified by the police, claimed to be a representative from Child Protective Services (CPS) who was there to conduct an inspection. The father suspected that the woman may have had a counterfeit CPS badge.
The parents allowed Nacrelli to inspect their home before she departed. Subsequently, Norwood police arrested Nacrelli on Monday, initially charging her with child enticement and detaining her overnight at the Hamilton County Justice Center. Additional charges of burglary and impersonating an officer were filed on Tuesday.
