Winter weather advisory canceled overnight. No snow for Tuesday

The snow is going to miss the Greater Cincinnati region after all.

The forecast for snow overnight changed late Monday, leaving us instead with a forecast for a sunny and dry Tuesday.

“The (precipitation) axis from the surface low has shifted east of our region,” the National Weather Service forecast discussion states. So instead of a Tuesday with the ground covered in up to 2 inches of snow, we will have a bright day with a high of 48 degrees, which is just above the seasonal normal.

The next chance of rain in the forecast is on Thursday and there is a chance of snow early Friday.
