Cincinnati police: Nearly 1,900 citations issued during two-week traffic blitz

CINCINNATI – Over 1,800 citations were issued over a two-week traffic safety blitz conducted jointly by Cincinnati police and Ohio troopers. Police say 1,877 citations were issued in the blitz, which ran from Jan. 22 to Feb. 2 in an attempt to raise awareness about dangerous or hazardous driving, focusing on distracted driving, seatbelt compliance and aggressive driving.
