Woman sentenced for killing NKY teacher in wrong-way crash

COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) – The woman found guilty of killing a beloved Northern Kentucky teacher after driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 in October 2022 has been sentenced. Kearies Simpson, of Covington, was sentenced to 25 years for charges of vehicular homicide, criminal mischief and wanton endangerment, according to Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders.
