The Community Action Agency’s (CAA) Home Relief Program will not accept applications for rental assistance or property tax relief after April 1. Both programs have collectively received thousands of applications since the beginning of the year. The rental assistance program currently has 900 applications waiting to be processed before the official end of the grant cycle which was April 30. To ensure intake workers can get through all applicants currently waiting to be assisted, the decision has been made to discontinue accepting applications.
